On March 15, 2019, Strate Insurance Group and HC*EXCELL welcomed art students from Meadowview Middle School to our office as a part of the Arts Build Skills program.
As part of the HC*EXCELL program, middle school students study a specific artist and/or type of art then create pieces of art based on what they have studied. Upon completion of the project, 15 student’s pieces of artwork are chosen to be displayed at a business or industry. Those students get to deliver their artwork and tour the company. We are so happy they chose us!
The purpose of the program is to expose students to different industries and businesses in Morristown and obtain knowledge about possible future careers they can become interested in. It is a valuable experience for students and helps them to think about what jobs are available in our community and the education and training needed to obtain those jobs.
After presenting their artwork to us, their art was hung all around our office and in our lobby for our visitors to see as well.
President Tom Strate said, “We loved hosting the HC*EXCELL students. It is so important for us to give back to our community and invest in our young people. The HC*EXCELL program is a great way for us to do that.”
