Tom Strate, CIC, CRM, CWCA is Vice President and CFO of Strate Insurance Group, Inc. He spends the majority of his professional time working with manufacturing accounts, healthcare, and distribution. 

Tom’s extensive risk management experience and customer advocacy is the hallmark of Strate Insurance Group’s service standard. His risk management approach distinguishes Strate Insurance Group from the average insurance agency trying to sell insurance. Oftentimes we help our customers purchase the least amount of insurance possible.

Tom graduated from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a major in Insurance and Risk Management. He achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1983, the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation in 2005 and the Certified Workers Compensation Advisor (CWCA) designation in 2012.

Tom has served many organizations over his career including the United Way, Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America and in recent years was awarded the R. Jack Fishman Community Service award by the Morristown Chamber of Commerce and the Distinguished Eagle Scout award by the National Eagle Scout Association, and the Silver Beaver Award from the Great Smoky Mountain Council.

In his free time, he enjoys being outside, hiking, traveling in his RV, and enjoying the Great Smoky Mountains that he calls home.
