Join our Team! Commercial Lines Account Executive Job Opportunity

Strate Insurance Group is looking for a risk management and relationship-centered individual to lead and direct some of our largest and most complex business clients as Account Executive.

In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining and growing a book of business as well as providing consultative, strategic risk management advice, and forward-thinking coverage analysis to our clients.

You keep client relationships solid by:

  • Regularly meeting with the clients to keep a pulse on business activity and emerging issues
  • Providing proactive and responsive communication with clients who represent different segments of their business (operations, risk management, HR, finance, etc.)
  • Translating complex “insurance speak” into concepts and actions the client can understand and act on
  • Getting to know our clients and listening to their needs

You provide an innovative and forward-thinking approach to risk management and insurance by:

  • Growing existing accounts through up-selling or “rounding out” their coverage, as appropriate
  • Acting on opportunities for risk mitigation through loss control, safety committees, or other organizational changes
  • Asking good questions and learning the account
  • Analyzing client information and providing tailored coverage recommendations
  • Handling complex conversations and negotiations
  • Structuring transactions to ensure that they result in the maximum benefit for clients, while also conforming with the laws, regulations, and requirements governing the insurance industry
  • Building relationships and product knowledge with our insurance carriers
  • Quenching your thirst for insurance and risk management knowledge through continuing education and designations

  • Acting ethically, professionally, and exercising good judgement in all aspects of your role



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or related field
  • Licensed to sell property and casualty insurance (state of Tennessee preferred)
  • 5-7 years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry
  • 5-7 years of experience in business insurance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Agency Management Systems Experience (AMS360, Applied EPIC, EZLynx, Saggita
